Air India made history in the aviation sector on Monday when all the female pilots arrived here in a non-stop flight from San Francisco to Bangalore carrying 238 passengers.

The longest 13,993 km non-stop route to the Indian city was completed by 17 hours of air travel at 03.07 am.

The command of the Boeing 777-200LR, which flew from San Francisco on Sunday, was in the hands of Captain Zoya Aggarwal and was accompanied by Captain Papagiri Tanmai, Captain Akanksha Sonaware and Captain Shivani Manhas in the cockpit.

Captain Zoya described this journey as one of the experiences of flying more than eight thousand hours in his tenure of more than 10 years. The passengers of the aircraft also described it as a pleasant experience.

When the aircraft reached Bangalore airport, a large number of media personnel were present near the terminal to welcome the four women pilots.
