CISF restores bag with 2 lakh cash at Dwarka Metro Station

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has restored a bag containing Rs two lakh cash to the rightful owner at Dwarka metro station, an official statement said here on Thursday.
Around 2215 hrs on March 3, while performing anti-sabotage duty inside a metro moving towards Dwarka Sector-21, CISF personnel noticed an unattended bag. He asked the nearby passengers, but no one claimed the bag.
Immediately, he took the bag out from metro train at Dwarka metro station duly observing the SOPs and informed the matter to shift in-charge of CISF and the Force's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).
The BDDS team reached the spot and checked the bag from security point of view and after ascertaining that there was no dangerous or hazardous item inside the bag, it was opened. On opening the bag, cash amounting to Rs 2,00,000 and some clothes were found inside the bag. The bag along-with cash and other items was deposited with the Station Controller and announcement was made at all the nearby stations.
After some time, a passenger namely Mr Kurshid Alam of Bihar approached at security point of Nawada metro station and informed about his missing bag. Subsequently, the passenger was directed to approach at Dwarka metro station where he informed that he forgot to pick his bag while de-boarding from metro train at Nawada metro station.
Later, he was brought to the station controller room and after proper verification, the bag containing with Rs two lakh with all other items was restored to him. Mr Alam thanked CISF and appreciated the alertness and honesty displayed by CISF personnel.
