The global epidemic of corona virus in Canada has killed 13,500 people so far and meanwhile the country has also reached the first consignment of the corona vaccine developed by pharmaceutical manufacturer Pfizer and BioNotech.

According to the Canadian Department of Health, 467,453 people have been infected with corona in the country so far and in the last few days an increase in new cases of corona has been recorded. There are currently 376,291 active cases of corona in the country while 389,770 people have completely defeated the corona.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday that the first consignment of Pfizer-BioNotech's Corona vaccine had reached Canada. Earlier on Thursday, the Canadian Prime Minister had said that the first batch of 30,000 doses of the Corona vaccine would arrive within a few days. About a week ago, the Canadian Health and Drug Regulatory Agency approved the emergency use of Pfizer's Corona vaccine.

According to Mr. Trudeau, the federal government is bearing the cost of the vaccine and by the end of December, Canada is expected to receive about 2.5 million doses of Pfizer's Corona vaccine. About 1.25 million people in Canada are expected to have the Corona vaccine by the end of this year.

According to Canadian public health officials, the vaccination campaign will begin in Canada soon and all citizens of the country are expected to have the Corona vaccine by 30 September 2021.
