Delhi Govt starts special vaccination centre for citizens leaving for foreign nations for studies, jobs

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday inaugurated a special COVID-19 vaccination centre, started by Delhi Government, at the Navyug School, situated in Mandir Marg, for citizens leaving for foreign nations for studies or jobs.

 

'Students who are planning to go abroad for their further studies, or citizens who have secured a job outside, or international sports players will now find some respite in the new vaccination initiative,' the Delhi government said in a statement.

 

Addressing the media, Mr Sisodia said, 'These days, our children are going abroad for further studies, or have attained jobs outside the country or are participating in international sports events. We have opened this special vaccination centre for all these citizens who are leaving for abroad and need to be vaccinated at the earliest, without any hassle.'

 

Mr Sisodia further said that citizens would be able to administer Covishield vaccine at this special vaccination centre and under special provision of the Delhi Government, citizens would be able to get their second inoculation after 28-84 days of their first inoculation.

 

Second dose can be taken 28-84 days under special provision for students who have to undertake foreign travel for the purpose of education, persons who have to take up jobs in foreign nations and athletes, sportspersons and accompanying staff of the Indian contingent attending International Olympic Games to be held at Tokyo, the statement said.

 

This provision will be available to all those citizens who need to undertake an international travel in the period upto August 31. It is mandatory to carry all mandatory documents for the same along with passport.
