The
entire world is now looking for a trusted, reliable and sustainable partner
like India, where they can hope for potential, strength, abilities. As such,
the industries should take full advantage of the trust that has developed
towards India.
“Entire world is looking for a trusted,
reliable partner. Here, we have potential, strength and ability. And hence, all
the citizens including the relevant industries must benefit from the trust that
has developed for India all over the world”, PM Modi said while addressing the
audience during the annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII
Annual Session 2020).
“Getting growth back is not so difficult
either. And the biggest thing is that now Indian Industries have a clear way
forward to a self-reliant India”, he said.
Speaking on the subject 'Getting Growth Back', PM Modi said that the
self-reliant India means that the country would become stronger and embrace the
world. After Unlock-1 has been announced, this was Prime Minister’s first major
speech on aspects relating to the Indian economy.
The PM said, “Now we have to invest in
the creation of a Robust Local Supply Chain that strengthens India's stake in
the Global Supply Chain. In this campaign, a big institution like CII will also
have to come forward in a new role post-Corona”. He pointed out that the
country now needs to manufacture products which are 'Made in India' but are
'Made for the World'. He also emphasized that Intent, Inclusion, Investment,
Infrastructure and Innovation— these five things are important to speed up
India's development and make it 'atmanirbhar'.
