The death rate has also come down due to more number of investigations per day, more number of patients being healthy and new cases declining.

In Maharashtra, the maximum number of patients in a single day is healthy with 6,053 patients being healthy every day. Kerala ranks second with 4,496 new cases of infection-free daily. In West Bengal, 2,342 such cases have been reported every day. 75.69 percent of new cases are concentrated in ten states and union territories.

A maximum of 3,423 new cases have been reported daily in Kerala in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra reported 2,834 new cases, while West Bengal recorded 1,515 new cases yesterday.

In the last 24 hours, 76.14 percent or 301 cases of death have been reported in 10 states / union territories. There have been 18.27 new cases of death in Maharashtra, where 55 deaths occurred. This is followed by West Bengal and Kerala respectively with 41 and 27 new cases of death.
