Government oil marketing companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday. Petrol in the commercial city of Mumbai today went above Rs 90 per liter, whereas in the capital two years later it had crossed Rs 83.


Today, petrol has increased by 28 paise and diesel by 30 paise per liter in four major metros of the country.


Petrol in Delhi today reached Rs 83.41 per liter and diesel reached Rs 73.62 per liter.


Petrol in the commercial city of Mumbai is Rs 90.01 and diesel is priced at Rs 80.20 per liter. Chennai prices are 86.21 and 78.93 per liter respectively. In Kolkata, petrol price has been increased to Rs 84.86 and diesel to Rs 77.15 per liter.
