Petrol and Diesel prices remained flat for 27 days

Petrol and diesel prices in the domestic market on Thursday also marked the 27th consecutive day of both fuels despite international crude oil prices rising once again due to the global epidemic covid-19 outbreak in several major countries of the world. There was no change in prices.



Diesel price was last cut on October 2, while the price of petrol has remained stable for the last 37 days. The price of petrol was last seen on September 22 from 7 to 8 paise per liter.



In the international market, however, there has been a steady softening in the price of crude oil. Crude oil prices continue to fall in the international market. Brent prices have slipped to below $ 41 a barrel. In the US, weakness in crude oil remains due to increasing oil storage and concerns over demand. At the same time, increasing cases of corona virus are also worrying about demand. There is concern about demand in the US and Europe due to the second wave of corona virus.



According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, petrol in Delhi today stood at Rs 81.06 while diesel remained stable at Rs 70.46 per liter. Petrol in the commercial city of Mumbai stood at Rs 87.74 per liter and diesel at Rs 76.86 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata remained unchanged at Rs 82.59 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.99 per liter. In Chennai, the price of petrol remained at Rs 84.14 per liter and diesel at Rs 75.99 per liter.
