The
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has on Wednesday welcomed the special CBI
court's verdict, acquitting all accused in the Babri masjid demolition case in
Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.
Taking to twitter, the RSS general
secretary, Bhaiyyaji Joshi, said Sangh welcomes the special CBI court's
decision to acquit all the accused in the demolition case of the controversial
structure.
Following the verdict, all sections of
the society should come together in unity and harmony and work. Successfully to
face the challenges before the country and work towards the progress of this
country, Joshi tweeted. The special CBI court in Lucknow has acquitted all the
32 accused in the case, including BJP veterans L K Advani and Murli Manohar
Joshi, saying there was no conclusive proof against them.
On the other hands, the Congress party
said the decision of the Special CBI Court to acquit all the accused in Babri
Masjid Demolition Case runs counter to the Supreme Court Judgment as also to
the spirit of Constitution. A special CBI court in Lucknow on Wednesday
acquitted all the 32 accused, including L K Advani, M M Joshi, Uma Bharati in
the December 6, 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case. Reacting to the the Special
CBI Court's decision, AICC media in-charge Randeep Surjewala told media persons
that the Supreme Court in its Judgment dated November 9, 2019 pronounced by
Five-Judges clearly held that demolition of Babri Masjid as a clear illegality
and egregious violation of the rule of law.
But the Special Court exonerated all the
Accused. It is clear that the decision of the Special Court runs counter to the
decision of the Supreme Court of India", the Congress leader said.
Entire Country witnessed a deep-rooted
political conspiracy by BJP-RSS and its leaders to destroy the country’s
communal amity and brotherhood for usurping power at any cost,' he said. 'The then BJP Government of Uttar Pradesh was
a co-conspirator in the designed attack on India’s Constitutional ethos. So
much so that the Supreme Court was misled by filing a wrong Affidavit on oath”,
the Congress leader said. Surjewala said it is only after detailed examination
of all these aspects, facts and evidence that the Supreme Court held the
demolition of Masjid to be 'an egregious violation of the rule of law.
