Shah to meet CISF jawan who saved passenger’s life in Delhi Metro

Lauding the role of a CISF personnel who saved a passenger’s life by administering CPR Dabri More Metro station on January 18, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday expressed desire to meet him.


Taking to twitter, he said “Just came across this video! So proud of our CAPF personnel for their unwavering commitment towards serving the motherland and humanity. Have informed DG CISF that, I would like to meet this brave and vigilant @CISFHQrs personnel who saved a precious life”.




On January 18, a passenger named Mr Satyanaran of Janakpuri lost his consciousness at Dabri More Metro station and collapsed. A CISF personnel on the duty on the scanning machine rushed to him and gave him Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the said passenger who gained conscious and thanked him profusely for saving his life.


In past too, CISF personnel saved lives in DMRC network and airport by timely administering them timely CPR.


A senior CISF official said that all Force personnel have been trained in giving CPR during their training course and this has been revised during the midterm or refreshing course as well.


The Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest.
