Yogi government is preparing to organize a grand program on the occasion of Dev Deepawali on 29 November in Varanasi, world famous as the cultural capital of the country.

Official sources told that 15 lakh lamps will be lit at 85 ghats of Kashi on the occasion of Dev Diwali. On this occasion, large cultural programs will be organized at 25-25 ghats.

He told that through the laser show and projector on the waves of the Ganges river, the glory of Kashi, the glory of Shiva and the Ganga descent etc. will be performed.

It is noteworthy that Dev Deepawali is mainly celebrated in Kashi, the city of Lord Shiva. This festival is celebrated every year on the day of Kartik Purnima, 15 days after Diwali. According to religious beliefs, all the gods come to celebrate happiness in Kashi on this day. A few days before Kartik Purnima, Lord Vishnu wakes up on a four-month sleep on Devauthani Ekadashi, in whose joy all the gods descend from heaven and celebrate the lamps at the Ghats of Benares.
