Thousands of farmers staged a sit-in at the district headquarters today in Haryana on the call of various farmer organizations across the country and shouted slogans against the central government and the state government.

On this occasion, farmers also submitted a memorandum to the District Deputy Commissioner in the name of the President. During the protest, the Aarti Association presidents of seven grain mandis of Sirsa district announced their support. Addressing the farmers at the district headquarters, farmer leader Swarn Singh Virk said that in the chill of winter, lakhs of farmers are agitating to save the farmers and farmers by staging a strike on the outskirts of Delhi. He called upon the agitating farmers to maintain unity and brotherhood.

On this occasion, Haryana Kisan Manch state president Prabhat Singh Bharu Kheda said that the movement of farmers is gaining momentum day by day, those who are calling this movement as movement of Sikhs only, they want to spread the farmers among themselves by spreading false illusions. Farmer leader S.P. Singh said that the state government has installed blockers on National Highway No.9 to prevent farmers from reaching Delhi, which is highly condemnable.
